A second phone number for your business, on the phone you already have

If you run a business from your personal cell phone, sooner or later every customer has your personal number. A second phone number fixes that: customers call the business number, and your own number stays private.

You do not need a second phone or a second SIM card to get one. Digital Numbers gives you a second number that works in an app on the phone you already carry.

How a second phone number app works

1. Choose your number and start a free trial.
2. Install the Digital Numbers app on your iPhone or Android phone.
3. Take business calls in the app. When you call out from the app, customers see your business number, not your personal one.

Prefer not to use an app? Forward calls to your second number to any phone, and change where they go at any time.

Why a second number for business

• Keep your personal number private. Put the business number on your website, truck and invoices.
• Switch off after hours. Set business hours for each day. Outside them, callers go to voicemail instead of ringing you at 9pm on a Saturday.
• Know who is calling about what. Business calls come in on the business line, so you can answer them the right way.
• WhatsApp Business ready. Run WhatsApp Business on your second number and keep personal WhatsApp on your own.
• No contract. Month to month, with a free trial.

What to look for in a second phone number app

• A number you keep. Some free second-number apps recycle numbers that go unused. A business number needs to stay yours.
• Business hours and voicemail, not just a number.
• Call forwarding, so calls can reach another phone when you need them to.
• Clear pricing with no contract.
